A STATUS Yellow Rainfall warning for Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford
has been issued by Met Éireann.

Heavy rain at times may cause some localised flooding. Rainfall totals generally around 30-40mm, higher in mountainous areas.

The warning is valid from Tuesday at 3pm until 9am on Wednesday morning. It looks like the rain will have passed by late morning in Tralee and we’re in for a dry day after that.

The good news is Christmas Eve is looking dry with sunshine prevalent, but it will be cold with temperatures in single digits.

Christmas Day will also be a dry day but it’ll be cloudy with similar temperatures to Thursday. Showers though will arrive later in the night. St Stephen’s Day looks to be dry at the moment, until that evening when the rain arrives again.
