Na Gaeil U16 team that defeated Churchill in the U16 St Brendan’s Championship.

Annual Mass   Our annual mass for club members with special remembrance of our deceased members will take place in the clubhouse on Thursday November 16th at 8.30pm. All are welcome.

U15    Congratulations to the Na Gaeil U15 team that won the Kerry Super 10’s Division 2 Final during the week defeating Beale, Skellig/Valentia and Ballyduff .

U10    Well done to everyone who took part in training last Sunday. Hope to see you all again next Sunday at 11am. Next Sunday at 6pm in the clubhouse we will be having our annual end-of-year get together. The club’s Kerry minor players will be there with the Tommy Markham trophy. Hopefullyeveryone can make it.

Scór na nÓg    The first round of Scor Na Nog for the Tralee District/St Brendan’s Board took place last Friday night in Collis Sandes House.

Na Gaeil were well represented in the following categories :

Solo Singing: Barry Sugrue

Recitation:     Dearbhala Quirke

Ballad Group: Barry Sugrue, Dominic Hurley, Roisin Collins and Sarah Cleary.

Leiriu: Barry Sugrue, Dearbhala Quirke, Joshua Roche, Liam Óg Kingston,

Aine O’Sullivan, Aoife O’Sullivan, Isobel Crowe, Emily Crowe. It was a great night’s entertainment with a very healthy representation from Austin Stacks, St Pat’s, Churchill and Na Gaeil. So a very big Thank You to all the mentors and participants who made it such an enjoyable evening and a very positive start to Scór 2017/2018.

Huge congratulations to Dearbhala Quirke who was the undisputed winner of the recitation with her captivating rendition of “My Moment of Glory” and to our Léiriú group who brought the house down with their production of “Mammy on Strike ”

Both acts now go forward to represent Na Gaeil at the Scór County Final on Saturday next at 5pm at the Racecourse , Killarney.

So very best of luck to Barry, Dearbhala, Joshua, Liam Óg, Aine, Aoife, Isobel and Emily. A big Thank You to mentors Mary Quirke, Margaret Doody , Therese Keating and Noelle Kingston, Enda O’Brien for the use of Collis Sandes which was an outstanding venue, Tommy Collins for judging and to Brian Caball for doing his usual outstanding Fear An Ti.

Clothes Collection    There is now a Clothes Collection Bin situated in Na Gaeil car park. If anyone has bags of old clothes to dispose of please drop them in the bin. If the bin is full they can be dropped into the clubhouse. It would be much appreciated.

Na Gaeil Cycling Club    Na Gaeil Cycling Club winter schedule: Saturday mornings at 10am from the clubhouse. ALL ARE WELCOME, high vis essential.

Fir Na Gaeil     Light Football Training for Men who have retired from playing football and for those that have not played and would like to try it out.

Very little skill is required. This is a great way to keep fit with light training, ball games and a bit of a laugh. Contact Eddie at 0876791460 for more info. Indoor Core Training on Mondays from 7.00 to 8.00 in the gym and Friday nights from 7.30 to 8.30pm in the I.T.

Mná Na Gaeil     We are a Gaelic for Mothers and Others team who come together and do a bit of exercise, football training and socialising. Anyone who would like to join are most welcome, No skills are required, just a good attitude and a sense for fun. We are now doing indoor Core work for the winter on Wednesday and Sunday evenings.  Contact Eddie at 0876791460 for more info.

Lotto   The draw for the jackpot of €4,600 took place on Tuesday evening last. Numbers drawn were 5, 12, 13, 21. There was no winner. €50 winners were Michelle Mulcair, Askeaton and John Cleary Matt Talbot Road.

€25 winners were Daniel Owens C/O Na Gaeil, James O’Dowd, The Golf Shop, Tralee, Gunter Stiech, Oakley Park and Mná Na Gaeil. Next week’s lotto is worth €4700. All are welcome for the draw in the club each Tuesday night at 10.30pm.

Bingo    Bingo is on every Monday night at 8.30pm sharp. We have prize money of over €1,000 guaranteed every week with a mini jackpot that increases fortnightly when not won.

A door prize and a half-time raffle with lovely prizes will also take place every week. A bus service is available at 087 2817577.  You can ring this number for pick up and drop off.  100% of the funds raised go back directly into the club. The bingo is run on a total voluntary basis.

A huge thank you to all the parents who offer their time to run this vital fundraiser for the club.  If anyone wants to donate a spot prize for our weekly bingo raffle, please leave it at use and mark it “Bingo”. Thanks to all our patrons who support this event on a weekly basis.

Cards   A card game is held every Wednesday night in the clubhouse. This is a very sociable occasion where you meet your friends for a great night’s entertainment and relaxation.  Everyone from novice to senior will enjoy a relaxing game of 45.
