Seniors    Na Gaeil played Killarney Legion in Round 5 of the County League on Sunday in the Killarney Legion Grounds. Missing seven players due to injury and exam duties we were always going to be up against it.

A very strong and hard tackling Legion team dictated matters for most of the first half and raced into an early lead with their full forward Conor Keane getting the early scores. Na Gaeil found it difficult to breach the legion defence with Dara Devine being the only scorer in that first half period with a point from a free and a point from play.

Na Gaeil came more into the game in the second half with every player doing his utmost. Timmy Culloty made a great save and Darragh Reen scored a great point at the other end. Full back Kieran Dineen also got on the scoreboard and Dara Devine pointed two more frees.

But being down so many players it was always going to be an up- hill battle for Na Gaeil and Legion ran out easy winners in the end. Final score Killarney Legion: 3-18; Na Gaeil: 0-05.

Team: Timmy Culloty, Dara Sheehy, Kieran Dineen, Shane Fitzgerald, Kieran O’Donovan, Padraig O’Sullivan, Paul Daly, Mike Griffin, Seamie O’ Neill, Cian Quirke, Eoin Doody, Darragh Reen, Ian McCarthy, Jamie Lowham, Dara Devine.
