Review of our U7s season: Training started early in the new year. We were delighted to welcome back great numbers to the Kerry Sports Academy every Sunday. We focused on skills development, concentrating on kicking and catching.

We practiced these skills using drills and games with a big emphasis on having fun! The children were delighted to put these skills into practice when we moved outdoors in March.

The children were eager to display their skills in mini games and enjoyed playing against each other. We had our first blitz against Ardfert in May and we were delighted to bring along 6 teams on the day.

Thankfully we kept our attendance high during the summer holidays and we had some cracking blitzes both at home and away to Churchill, John Mitchels, Keel, St. Pats, Austin Stacks and Kerins O Rahillys.

The future of Na Gaeil football is bright! Some stand-out moments this year for our u7s were: marching in the St. Patrick’s Day parade, providing a guard of honour to the Men’s Senior Team at their last home game of the season and welcoming Sam Maguire back to Killeen after an extended period away! We would like to thank our dedicated coaches and parents for helping out on a weekly basis. Na Gaeil Abú.
