Week 4

Tralee and District League sponsored by Specsavers

In section 1 we saw The Huddle, Tralee get edged out by Toomey’s Abbeydorney 4-3 in Abbeydorney.

Great games played in a very sporting manner and credit is due to all. Also in Section 1, The Railway Bar, Lixnaw, got back to winning ways proving too strong for Slieve Mish Bar winning 7-0.

The Mish will feel if a few doubles had fallen for them this could have been a lot tighter.

The top of the table clash in McElligotts Ardfert between themselves and the Stretford End Causeway saw the visitors put in a very solid performance to win 5-2.

In Section 2, Parkers Kilflynn proved too strong for The Huddle Bar, Tralee, winning 6-1. The highlight of this one was Sean Marshall popping in an 11 darter.

The Munster Bar Tralee had a 5-2 win against Brosnan’s Bar Moyvane adding this toothier win the week before against The Huddle and they really are finding form.

The New Kingdom Bar edged out Stretford End Causeway 4-3 in Listowel and are going along very nicely indeed.

The Tralee and District League continues this Friday night.

The annual Declan Mulvhill memorial Darts tournament takes place this Sunday, March 29 in the Stretford End Bar Causeway. Registration 2.30pm, games start at 3pm. All welcome.

Killarney Darts News

Killarney Darts Town League Knock Out Cup sponsored by O’Neill’s Plunkett Street

The Knock Out Cup took place in the Killarney Avenue Hotel on Friday, March 6.

Lal’s Bar, Kilcummin, took on the mighty Tatler Jack Team, of Plunkett Street, which Tatlers won 14-9.

Congratulations to The Tatler Jack on winning another Knock Out Cup. Hard luck to Lal’s Bar Kilcummin, but I am sure its not the last we will hear of Lal’s Team.

Thanks to the O’Neill Family of Plunkett Street for their sponsorship and the trophies were a fitting memory to Jeremy O’Neill. Gone but not forgotten, may he rest in peace.

Killarney Darts Town League Sponsored by Mustang Sally’s

Last Thursday night, March 19, saw the Group 4 Final being played in Teddy’s Bar, High Street.

The 98 Bar B team took on Charlie Foley’s B team. It was the 98 B Team’s night winning 5-3, but Charlie Foley’s Team fought well on the night and were unlucky at times and I am sure you will see them in future finals.

Well done to the 98 B Team who played great darts on the night, celebrations went on into the early hours and some say are still going on.
