IT’S been a while, but the Castlegregory GAA Club faithful gathered together at the Ballygarry House Hotel for a night of fine food, entertainment and a bit of an awards ceremony on Saturday night.
The first social in seven years drew a crowd of over 15o people as they reflected on the successes of the past year.
Club chairman Peter Crean said it was fitting that the recent achievements of the club were honoured, as a social couldn’t be held during Covid times.

“We won the 2021 junior football championship against Firies, while the minors won the club championship by beating Fossa last year so we’re making medal presentations tonight,” he said.
“We’re also acknowledging the club person of the year, Edward Hennessy, who has made a fantastic contribution to Castlegregory GAA over the years,” said Peter.
Kerry star Gavin White was the special guest on the night while the ladies club were also recognised. Scroll down for photos…
