A TRALEE man has just opened a new facility for golf enthusiasts on the outskirts of town.
James O’Dowd is bringing his insights, tips and experience to his new venture ‘The Golf Doc’ which opened its doors for the first time on Thursday.
Situated just outside Tralee in Ballinorig West, this new facility was specially designed by James himself to allow golfers from right across the region unlock their game.

James O Dowd said “I wanted to offer golfers a state of the art facility right here in Munster. It has been a dream of mine for many years to develop a purpose built golf academy and help our game grow across all ages….and to see it become a reality with the support of so many good friends and family, is just perfect.”
The new Golf Doc facility, complete with a state-of-the-art driving range is open 7 days a week, from 9 in the morning to 9 at night. James is promising the finest all-round golf experience in Munster.
Dick Spring who opened the facility officially said; “I am delighted to support James in this project, I have been an avid golfer for many years and am excited that our game can become more accessible through The Golf Doc Academy. I have no doubt that this will be the first of many for The Golf Doc.”
