YOUNG people from the KDYS in Denny Street certainly helped brighten up a part of Baile Mhuire Day Care home recently.
Students from the Leaving Cert Applied programme helped in finishing the inner courtyard, now known as “Eileen’s Garden”, to allow their service users access the garden, weather permitting of course.
This was done over the last few weeks and was financially possible because Baile Mhuire received a grant of €5,000 from IPB Insurances under their Community Engagement Fund as the facility took an “intergenerational approach” to the project.
All that is left is to do now is some planting for the spring!
