REHEARSALS are in full swing for the next stage production from students at Mercy Mounthawk and it promises to be another top-class offering from the school.
‘Big Maggie by John B Keane is directed by Tony Behana nd it will be the 17th time the school has staged a play. The students from various years have been rehearsing since September, having auditioned for parts are far back as May.
The school is no stranger to the work of John B Keane having previously staged ‘Sive’ and ‘The Field’ and with ‘Big Maggie’ on the Leaving Cert Comparative course, it will be useful to students to go and see it.

Big Maggie tells the story of Maggie Polpin, a recently widowed mother of four who is determined to create a better life for herself and her children. But problems arise when her vision of the future begins to sit with increasing discomfort on the shoulders of her surly offspring.
