AROUND 40 sluggers are in training to get in the ring for a great event for charity next month.

The Festival Dome will host The White Collar Boxing event in aid of the Kerry Cancer Support Group in conjunction with St Margaret’s Boxing Club Pembroke Street on Thursday, August 13 at 7.45pm.

Some special guest fighters include Councillor Toireasa Ferris, Radio Kerry’s Andrew Morrissey, Kerry junior football team Manager Stephen Wallace, Kerry hurler Mikey Boyle, local personality and Kerins O’Rahilly’s underage coach Cathal Foley and TD Martin Ferris.

There will be other guest boxers on the card  who have yet to confirm and will be revealed before the event.

Tickets for the event are priced at €20 and are available from St Margaret’s boxing Club and The Kerry Cancer Support Group Office in Maine Street, Tralee.
