THE team from Kerry Cancer Support Group along with many service users, volunteers and funders gathered at The Rose Hotel on Sunday to officially launch their new wheelchair accessible Cork bus.
Chairperson Dan Horan welcomed everyone and thanked them for attending. Fr Tom Looney, assisted by Reverend Jim Stephens and Thomas O’Callaghan held a short service and the bus was blessed with driver Mike Brosnan from Castleisland cutting the ribbon to a very positive cheer from everyone present.
Breda Dyland from Kerry Cancer Support Group said that they were delighted to see so many people attending especially past service users.

She was very thankful to everyone who had made it possible for the charity to put this bus on the road and said that the real job of keeping it there now starts.
She also thanked the drivers, who were all present, for their dedication to the service and said that it would be nothing without them.
Kerry Cancer Support Group was established in 2007 and has been transporting the people of Kerry, West Cork and West Limerick to hospitals in Cork and Limerick for their cancer related treatments since 2010.
