PRIMARY school children from around Tralee were treated to the premiere of ‘The Best of Broadway’ as the show performed by Presentation Secondary students opened with a matinee on Wednesday.
It was one of four performances over the two days, with the final show taking place tonight (Thursday) in the school gym which has been transformed for the production.
The girls didn’t disappoint, taking the audience on a musical journey through some of the most iconic Broadway shows of all time from classic musicals like ‘Chicago’ and ‘The Wizard of Oz’ to modern hits like ‘High School Musical’ and ‘A Chorus Line’.

There were group and individual performances with some marvellous dance routines courtesy of choreographer Honor Hurley.
Director Oliver Hurley worked his magic once again with the talented students, so if you want to catch the final performance, there’s a few tickets left which can be purchased at the school office today at €12 for adults and €10 for students, or on the door.
