THE Rose Hotel saw a large crowd gather in the Lee Suite for the annual Tidy Tralee Together Awards on Tuesday night.

It was an occasion to honour residents of estates, businesspeople and those who keep their gardens looking exceptional during the year, thus contributing to helping Tralee retain its Tidy Towns Gold Medal year after year.

Joe Moynihan of Tralee Tidy Towns, thanked everyone for their efforts and especially Kerry County Council and the judges for their time and effort.

A special award was given to Tim Counihan of Tralee Dynamos for his efforts over the decades in keeping the Low Field looking so well. Manor Village was also recognised for its hosting of the Eucharistic procession.

Of course, the main reason for the event was to hand out the awards (which are listed again below). Afterwards, tea, coffee and refreshments were served.  Scroll down for photos and the results in the estates, businesses and gardens categories;
