High Street in town where a car was broken into on Sunday.

THERE were three break-ins to vehicles in Tralee on Easter Sunday, two of which occurred very close to the Garda Station.

On Easter Sunday between 1pm and 2pm a silver Toyota Hilux was broken into on High Street. The car was parked in front of Tru-Care Dry Cleaners, just yards from the Garda Station.

A ladies handbag was on display on the front seat and while the driver’s window was smashed, the bag was not taken as it’s believed the perpetrators of the crime may have been disturbed.

Then, later that day between 5pm and 6pm there was another incident in Day Place, again, very close to the Garda Station.

A blue mini-cooper had its driver’s window smashed and a ladies handbag was taken. Gardai believe both incidents may be linked.

Later that day, out in Banna Beach car park, a ladies handbag was stolen from a 08 Galway registered Nissan Qashqai, which was left unlocked.

Gardaí are looking for the public’s help in relation to the three incidents and anyone who saw anything suspicious is asked to contact Tralee Garda Station on 066-7102300.

They are also warning motorists to make sure they lock their car doors and not to leave valuables on display in the car.
