Registration & training/match fees for 2017-2018 Season

The Management Committee have decided that the Registration Fee payable per each player for the coming season will be €100, with training/match fees maintained at last season’s amount of €140, so the total cost per player for the full season is €240.  We are pleased to announce that the above fees include a Park F.C. branded O’Neills triton windcheater.

The fees will be used to pay Registration and Affiliation fees with both the Kerry Schoolboys/Girls League or the Kerry District League (adults), Player Insurance, electricity bills for our floodlights, as well as Referee’s fees, kit-washes etc.  The discounted Registration Fee for a second family member is €60, with discounted training fee €70.

The fees are payable by any of the three following methods:

ü  One instalment of €220 payable by Friday 29th September

ü  Three instalments of €80 payable by Friday 29th September, Friday 24th November and Friday 23rd February 2018.

ü  Eight instalments of €30 – only payable by Standing Order/bank transfer

Any person who wishes to pay by Standing Order/bank transfer from their Bank or Credit Union account may do so by contacting the Club Registrar – contact details below.

The discounted Registration Fee for a second family member can be paid in instalments of €40, €40 and €50 by the above dates.

Please note that the Management Committee have decided that a player is ineligible to train and therefore ineligible for selection if the Registration Fee is not paid in full by 29th  September or by the above dates if paying by instalments.

A Registration night will be held for each squad during the coming weeks in advance of the first deadline on 29th September (on training nights where possible).  Team Managers will advise you of the details.  Two further Registration nights will be scheduled in advance of Friday 24thNovember and Friday 23rd February 2018, to facilitate those who wish to pay in instalments by cash/cheque.

The Club is aware that the start of the football season coincides with that time of the year which places a burden on family finances in particular, but we believe that our fees are very good value for money for the service we provide and compare favourably with those of other sporting organisations.  We also hope that the instalment option will help.

Should you have any queries regarding this letter, please contact the Club Registrar at the number below (outside office hours), or any member of the Management Committee.

Yours in Sport

VITHIT 12 PREMIER RESULT

PARK U12A 4 : 0 L.B Rovers

On Wednesday evening our u12A got their league campaign at home to L.B Rovers. On the night we proved a little to strong for the away side by putting 4 past the visitors.

We started the game on the front foot, creating a number of changes, before eventually getting the opener when Seamus Kelly cleared a corner into the path of Jay Jay Olatigan.

He then played a pass from the right wing in to Marcus,in the centre circle, who slipped as the ball was coming towards him but somehow managed to get the faintest of touches on the ball and knock it around the defender into the  path of the on rushing Justin O’Sullivan who was now clear through on goal and with only the keeper to beat he applied the finish.
We went in one nil at the break. The second half went much of the same with three more goals scored all coming from substitutes. Ryan McMahon getting the second with a sweet left footed strike, Ciarian Kavanagh added a third after a great run down the left beating two men before hammering a shot to beat the keeper at his near post. Sam Fitzgerald rounded off the scoring to make it  four nil.

Subs: Aaron Powell,Jack Slattery , Ciarian Kavanagh Bruno Browsy Ryan McMahon and Sam Fitzgearld.

Park u12A 3 : 2 Pallas United

A mix of nerves and excitement were order of  the day in Christy Leahy Park when our U12A took on Pallas United in the SFAI Skechers Cup second round. this being the U12A first venture out in the countries most prestigious soccer competition.

we took the lead through CiarianKavanagh latched on to an inch perfect Jack Slattery diagonal pass to fire home a superb low volley into the bottom corner. We made it two nil within thirty seconds of the restart when half time substitutes Andrew Kerins played a one- two with Seamus Kelly.Andrew  whipped a cross to the back post to Ciarian Kavanagh who for the second time time found the bottom corner.

Pushing for the third we were hit on the counter attack to pull the score back to two-one. Seamus Kelly added a third after a flying run from Justin O’Sullivan down the left he laid the ball into Seamus path whose first time shot flew past the Palls keeper.

Pallas pushed hard to the end and pulled a goal back. An unstoppable free kick into the top corner, to make it three-two with  six minutes to go. The nerves had began to set in but the lads did brilliant to see the game out and now they head into round three of the competition.

Birdhill 0 Park FC 8

The Birdhill management had warned during the week that their side were young and looking for experience at this level and in fairness they were right. Birdhill were game opposition and held Park to just three goals in the first half but the Park boys were just too strong over the full seventy minutes.

When Josh Connolly opened the scoring with a long range shot in the first minute it looked ominous for Birdhill. Park were passing the ball well and opening the opposition up, but to their credit, Birdhill battled bravely even though they were being stretched all over the pitch.
Killian Murphy went close before Josh Connolly got his second, a fine goal ably assisted by Cianan Cooney. These two players combined again in the twentieth minute but this time it was Cooney finishing things off. Three nil at the break and no more than Park deserved.
Kieran O’Connor, Cooney, Conor Kerins, Ben Hanafin and Colin Doody all scored in the second half as the Birdhill team tired and they gave younger players some game time. It finished 8-0 on a wet afternoon in Tipperary.
There will be tougher challenges ahead and better performances will be required but it was still a good first competitive outing for the boys this season.
Thank you to all the parents for providing lifts and support and to Birdhill for their generous hospitality. We wish them all the best for the rest of the season.
A home game beckons in the next round.

Squad:
Liam Carmody, Samuel Aladesanusi, Seán O’Connell, Seán Hill, Kieran O’Connor, Conor Kerins, Colin Doody, Josh Connolly, Messiah Chirwa, Seán O’Connor, Cianan Cooney, Ben Hanafin, Luke O’Connell, Killian Murphy, David Feeley and Cian O’Neill.
