Local Company Plants 400 Trees To Improve Tralee’s Biodiversity

LAST week, members of ViClarity participated in the planting of indigenous Hawthorn trees in Tralee, as part of their corporate social responsibility initiative.

The company, based at Kerry Technology Park, contributed to the planting of more than 400 trees at Holy Family Primary School, which will enhance the biodiversity of the area in time to come.

These trees will serve as vital habitats for local wildlife, offering shelter, food, and breeding grounds for various species.

ViClarity Wins Insurance ERM Award

TRALEE-BASED company ViClarity had been named ‘ERM End-to-end Solution of the Year’ by InsuranceERM.

InsuranceERM’s annual awards recognise the top companies across Europe in insurance risk management, actuarial and risk modeling practices, and leading service providers.

InsuranceERM stated that they were very “impressed by ViClarity’s commitment to continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and ambition in expanding outside Ireland.”

ViClarity’s ‘Movember’ Effort Raises Over €4,500 For Great Cause

MEMBERS of the ViClarity team based at Kerry Technology Park, took part in the Movember challenge to raise funds for men’s health projects for mental health, suicide prevention, and prostate/testicular cancer.

Throughout the month, the team grew some interesting looking moustaches and completed a ‘move goal’ of 60km, in the process raising €4,565 for the cause.

The challenge began on November 1, where most team members started out bare-faced (others needed a head start) to see how impressive their moustache would be by day 30.

From day 1, the competition was fierce in the ViClarity office, comparing their growth and keeping a watchful eye on the leaderboard, to see who was raising the most funds.

This competition between team members helped to drive success in the volume of donations that were received.

The ViClarity team raised a combined total of €4,565 over the 30 days, which was donated to www.Movember.ie and distributed across all listed charities.

Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health. Since 2003, Movember has funded more than 1250 men’s health projects around the world, challenging the status quo, shaking up men’s health research and transforming the way health services reach and support men.

ViClarity Team Helps Strengthen Maharees Sand Dunes

A TEAM from the ViClarity office in Tralee, led by John Ogie Sheehy (Global CIO and CEO of European Business) this week joined Maharees Conservation Association in their work to strengthen the Maharees sand dunes before the winter storm season.

Eight of the Viclarity Tralee team took part in the planting project along Brandon Bay on Wednesday and with a quick demo on how to plant marram grass, they succeeded in replanting 100 metres of  the fragile sand dune.

Chair of Maharees Conservation Assocication, Aidan O’Connor said: “We were delighted to welcome the team from ViClarity out here today. Their work and that of all of the other volunteers that help us is making our dunes stronger and more resilient to winter storms and that, in turn, is supporting our community and the wildlife that depends on the sand dunes.”

ViClarity Charity Campaign Raises €2,000 For Enable Ireland Kerry Services

TRALEE-BASED company, ViClarity, concluded its annual charity campaign last week raising €2,000.

The ViClarity team completed their scheduled events and challenges to raise funds in aid of local charity Enable Ireland Kerry, Children’s Services.

The ViClarity team undertook a number of challenges in the run-up to Christmas, including a detox from tea and coffee and finishing with a very competitive inter-departmental soccer tournament.

Despite a few hurdles along the way, including a period of icy weather, the team successfully raised €1,000 through the iDonate fundraising portal.

ViClarity themselves kindly matched this figure, bringing the total donation to €2,000. ViClarity Founder, Ogie Sheehy recently presented a cheque to Lorraine and the team at Enable Ireland’s Kerry Services.

Tralee-Based Company Takes On Virtual Challenge For SVP Kerry

TRALEE-BASED company ViClarity has kicked off their annual charity fundraiser in aid of Society of St Vincent de Paul Kerry.

The charity event called “Rock’n Around The West With ViClarity” will see the ViClarity team take part in a virtual running/walking tour of the West along the Wild Atlantic Way.

The tour of the Wild Atlantic Way will start at Blasket View and the team will rack up the distance to cover the journey between famous stops along the Wild Atlantic Way.

Each team member’s activities will be tracked and all metrics will be accumulated to reach their goal of 1050 km’s covering the distance from Blasket View in Kerry to Malin Head in Donegal during the month of December.

ViClarity hope that the event will raise as much as possible for The Society of St Vincent de Paul, specifically in the Kerry region.

Tralee Company Offers Services To Irish Credit Unions

TRALEE company ViClarity has announced they are granting free access to their Business Continuity Plan (BCP) Self-Assessment Tool to all Irish Credit Unions for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The ViClarity team will work with any Credit Unions who are interested in availing of this BCP Self- Assessment tool to help them conduct a self-assessment of their Business Continuity Plans and identify any gaps they have that may require actions.

Tralee Company Merges With US-Based Firm

TRALEE-BASED company ViClarity have announced it has merged with PolicyWorks LLC, a US consultancy and services firm who specialise in compliance.

Through the merger, ViClarity says it will strengthen its position as a leading global provider of GRC solutions and the combining of companies will see ViClarity more than double in size providing an opportunity to grow the business globally.

The agreement will see ViClarity continue to grow and expand its European headquarters in Tralee, while gaining a team of resources in the US.

Tralee Company To Receive Insurance ERM Award 2020

The award ceremony for the 2020 award winners on will take place on March 12 at the Tower of London.

Tralee Company To Hold Events In Aid Of Mental Health Ireland

TRALEE-BASED company ViClarity are kicking off their annual charity fundraiser in aid of Mental Health Ireland.

The charity event called “ViClarity4Charity” will see the ViClarity team take part in four events over the course of the next two weeks.  The first event takes place this Friday December 13, with a Santa Vs Snowpeople soccer match taking place in the IT Tralee Astro Pitch.

This event will be followed by three other events including a 5000 Steps To Wellbeing Hike, The Great ViClarity Bake Off which will be judged by colleagues in the Tom Crean Business Centre and the event will finish with Christmas Day at ViClarity.

‘Viathlon’ Fundraiser Raises €1,200 Donation For Tralee Homeless Facility

OVER the last two weeks Tralee company ViClarity, based at Kerry Technology Park, have been taking part in 12 challenges over 12 days as part of their Viathlon fundraiser.

The event had the group doing battle in a mix of sporting and offices challenges which included a 5K run, cracker eating competitions, push/sit up challenge, a breakfast morning and ended with an eight kilometre hike.

The event gained great interest from the public and there were over 20 donations made to Novas Ireland who run the Arlington Lodge facility.

With these donations and with ViClarity’s own donation Novas Ireland received €1,200 from the fundraiser.

ViClarity CEO, Ogie Sheehy was delighted to present Michael Fleming from Novas with a cheque for €1200 on Thursday morning at ViClarity’s offices in the Tom Crean Centre.

The money raised will help the organisation with the running of their Tralee based facilities.

Tralee Company’s ‘Viathlon’ To Raise Funds For Homeless Facility

A LOCAL company is taking part in a special fundraising event over the next number of days in aid of Arlington Lodge.

Tralee-based ViClarity kicked off their annual charity fundraiser on Tuesday in in aid of the homeless facility, part of the Novas group, which is located on Church Street in Tralee.

The ViClarity team will be taking part in a “Viathlon” which is their own unique take on the Triathlon.

The group will take part in 12 challenges over the course of 12 days. The challenges will be a mix of sporting challenges and office challenges that will see office members battle against each other over the period.

The challenges include a team 5K run, a Christmas Cream Cracker-eating competition, an office Christmas fancy dress, a morning hike and many other challenges that can be followed on ViClarity’s social media accounts.

ViClarity hope that the cycle will raise vital funds for Arlington Lodge and raise awareness about the service they provide all year round.

Tralee Company Expands To Open Boston Office

TRALEE-BASED company, ViClarity, is expanding to open a new office in Boston.

The company that provide Risk & Regulatory Compliance software in the healthcare and financial services sectors was founded by John “Ogie” Sheehy in 2008.

The intention is to establish a team of sales, pre-sales, customer support, account management and business analysts at the Boston office while the companies headquarters will remain in Tralee.

Mr Sheehy is set to relocate to Boston – with his family – in a bid to continue the growth of the company’s US customer’s base.

Mr Sheehy will fly to Boston next week with the intention of setting up a Boston based team by the end of the summer.

Having already established a strong foothold in both the Irish and the UK market ViClarity were introduced to the US market, through a chance encounter with a customer at a trade show in Denver.

The individual knew someone working in an organisation who worked with a network of Credit Unions in the US and eventually this person became ViClarity’s sales agent on the ground. This led to ViClarity’s first US customers coming on board in Arizona.

ViClarity further expanded their client base in the US in the past few years and now the company are looking forward to taking the next step in scaling the market and opening a US based office.

Winning a place in last month’s Bridge to MassChallenge Cork accelerator competition has given ViClarity an insight into the opportunity of being on the ground in the US with Boston having a large concentration of potential customers in healthcare and the second biggest largest number of fund management organisations in the country.

Two Tralee-Based Companies Make Final 12 In Bridge To MassChallenge

TWO Tralee-based companies in the Tom Crean Centre have progressed to the final 12 in the Bridge To MassChallenge.

ViClarity a Governance, Risk and Compliance technology provider and myAccessHub a company who provide businesses with assessment and training services to increase their accessibility, particularly for people with Autism, have made the final 12 of the Bridge To MassChallenge Cork.

Both companies will join 10 more Irish organisations in an once-in-a-lifetime intensive boot camp in Boston, thanks to Cork County Council’s ground-breaking start-up programme with Boston based MassChallenge, (Bridge to MassChallenge Cork).

The Medical Technology, Lifesciences and Digital Health organisations have prevailed by setting themselves apart from the masses and are now set to accelerate to the next round of the international competition – a week long all expenses paid boot camp in Boston in April 2018.

To date, Mass Challenge has accelerated 1,495 start-ups worldwide, which together have raised $3 billion USD in funding, generated $2 billion USD in revenue and created over 80,000 jobs.

The accelerator will provide both companies with a route to market in Massachusetts where there is a large healthcare market.

Tralee Company Makes Donations After ‘Tour de ViClarity’ Fundraiser

BOTH Kerry Cancer Support and the Bon Secours Tralee Sudan Appeal received donations from a Tralee company recently.

ViClarity staff crossed the finish line during their “Tour de ViClarity” fundraiser which had them taking turns on the office exercise bike to keep it moving continuously for the full 40 hour working week.

The fundraiser which ran from December 18 to December 22 has raised a total of €400 from the public and ViClarity have added a further €600.

ViClarity CEO Ogie Sheehy presented Kerry Cancer Support with a cheque for €1,000 which will go towards running the Kerry to Cork Health Link Bus in 2018.

ViClarity also made a donation of €500 to The Bon Secours Tralee towards their Sudan Appeal. In the last few weeks 30 volunteers from the Bon Secours Hospital Tralee including Doctors, Nurses, Technicians, Physios, Radiographers and administrative staff travelled to Northern Sudan to bring their skills, vital medical equipment and supplies to the people of this region.

ViClarity’s Pedal Power To Raise Funds For Local Charity

A TRALEE company kicked off their annual charity fundraiser on Monday, this time in aid of the Kerry Cancer Support Group’s Health Link Bus.

The “Tour de ViClarity” is currently taking place at the ViClarity offices in the Tom Crean business centre Tralee and finishes this Friday.

This year the charity event has ViClarity staff undertaking a cycling challenge. Staff members are taking turns on the office exercise bike to keep it moving continuously between the hours of 9.00am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Another National Award For Tralee Company

A TRALEE based company has picked up its second National award in the space of a few weeks after ViClarity was named as the best Irish InsurTech (Insurance Technology) company at the Irish Tech News – FinTech 20 Ireland event at UCD.

ViClarity’s Marketing Specialist Neil O’Sullivan was in Dublin for the awards ceremony to collect the award in front of a crowd of 300 people.

ViClarity were announced as the winners of the InsurTech category for their work with insurance companies in Ireland, the UK, the US and Canada.

Tralee Company Wins At National IMSTA Awards

A TRALEE company has been named as “The Most Cost Effective Product/Service” at the Irish Medical and Surgical Trade Association (IMSTA) MedTech Awards 2017.

ViClarity, which provides Auditing, Risk & Compliance software to the Healthcare and Financial Services industry, were shortlisted for the award and invited by the Health Innovation Hub to sit at their table on the night.

The judges researched and scrutinised the shortlisted companies before finally selecting ViClarity as the winner of the award.

The annual awards, now in their sixth year were held in Croke Park last night and brought together developers, providers and suppliers of effective healthcare solutions for the health system in Ireland. ViClarity CEO, Ogie Sheehy was in attendance on the night and collected the IMSTA Award from MC Anton Savage and Colman Casey from The Health Innovation Hub who sponsored the award.

ViClarity were selected as the most cost effective product/service due to their work with healthcare facilities in the Public and Private sector in Ireland and the UK in areas such as Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Residential Care, Disability Care and Home Care.

A TRALEE company has made the final six in the All Stars Technology Business Of The Year.

ViClarity, a company that provide Risk & Compliance software in the healthcare and financial services sectors  have been nominated for “All Stars Technology Business Of The Year”.

The awards take place at The All Ireland Summit this Thursday, April 6th in Croke Park, Dublin.

About to hit the road for the ViClarity 5K A Day campaign on Thursday were; Neil O’Sullivan, Aidan Harrington, Ogie Sheehy (CEO), Tracy Fitzgerald, Daniel Murphy, Mark Healy.

TRALEE-BASED company ViClarity have started a charity fundraiser in aid of Mental Health Ireland.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Mental Health Ireland and to celebrate this achievement the ViClarity Team will seek to run 5 kilometres a day for 10 consecutive days, reaching a total of 50 kilometres – one kilometre to mark each year of Mental Health Ireland’s existence.

The first run of the fundraiser took place on Thursday starting at the ViClarity office in the Tom Crean Business Centre, Tralee. The run combines Mental Health Ireland’s “Five Ways to Wellbeing” which included connecting with others, being active, taking notice, learning and giving.

ViClarity hope that the run will raise vital funds for Mental Health Ireland and raise awareness for the brilliant work they do all around Ireland.

ViClarity will be making a donation to Mental Health Ireland at the end of the campaign and will also donate any other funds gathered from the run.
