The ‘Yes’ bus will be coming into town on Wednesday May 13.

THE ‘Yes For Equality Bus’ will be rolling into both Tralee and Killarney next Wednesday May 13 as it steps up its campaign ahead of the vote on May 22.

It will be taking place in The Square here in town from 11.30am-1.30pm and then will be moving onto Killarney from 2.30-4.30pm.

The Yes campaign is encouraging people to come down to the event where there will be music and guest speakers on hand to inform, entertain and answer any questions that members of the public might have on the upcoming vote.

“We are very excited to to have the Yes Equality Bus in Kerry. It will be a great event with lots of speakers, music and special guests. Everyone is welcome to come along and get more information about the referendum. The people of Kerry have an opportunity to take part in a once in a generation moment, by making their voices heard on May 22 in the Civil Marriage Referendum,” said Yes Equality Kerry spokesperson Lisa Fingleton.

“We’ve been door-to-door canvassing for the past few weeks and it’s been wonderful meeting people and talking about the issue. We want to answer all questions people have about the referendum. We’d urge all citizens to vote Yes and give Constitutional equality to your lesbian and gay sons and daughters, family, neighbours and community members,” Martin Greenwood of the same group said.
