Thirty Jobs Lost Temporarily At Borg Warner Plant

BORG Warner is to let 30 workers go at their Tralee plant.

The lay-offs affect contract production workers at the Monavalley Industrial Estate base, but management say the measures are temporary — a reaction to short-term reductions from a customer — and they expect to have staffing numbers back to current levels by early 2018.

Back in April, Borg Warner announced an €11.5m investment in its Tralee factory and the creation of 50 new jobs.
