OAKPARK native, Timothy V Murphy, last night appeared alongside Vince Vaughn, in the highly anticipated Season 2 premiere of ‘True Detective’.
In the critically-acclaimed series, Tim plays a Russian gangster who orchestrates a shady deal with Vince Vaughn’s character in episode 1.
The former ‘Sons of Anarchy’ actor, will appear in six out of the eight episodes of the HBO series, which can be seen on these shores on Monday nights at 9pm on Sky Atlantic.
‘True Detective’, has won multiple awards for its brilliant first series which starred Matthew McConnaughy and Woody Harrelson.
Speaking to Traleetoday.ie back in April, Timothy was tight-lipped about his role in True Detective.
“I’ve never worked on such a secretive project. You get your scenes a couple of days before shooting and you have to hand the scripts back as soon as you shoot them,” he said.
Since he left Ireland for Hollywood many years ago, he has appeared in some of the biggest TV series of the past 15 years including 24, Six Feet Under, Shameless (US), Alias, CSI: NY and many more.
