THE number of people on the Live Register in Tralee increased by 129 in December on the previous month, while it’s up 555 on the same month in 2021.
Meanwhile, the latest statistics from the Central Statistics Office shows the number on Kerry’s Live Register increased by over 8% in the past month from 7,943 in November to 8,590 in December. It’s up 2,370 compared to 6,220 people signing on in December 2021, a rise of 38%.
In Tralee there were 3,202 people signing on in December 2022 compared to 2,647 in December 2021, an increase of over 20%.

In Killarney the figure rose from 1,014 in December 2021 to 1,753 last month. The number was up in Listowel from 1,187 to 1,247.
In Cahersiveen it rose from 262 to 823, in Kenmare it’s up from 218 to 449, in Killorglin it rose from 465 to 556 and in Dingle it’s up from 427 to 560.
