Number On Tralee Live Register Falls In February

TRALEE’S live register number decreased for the first time in months in February, according to the latest figures from the Central Statistics Office.

The number of people signing on in Tralee last month was 3,203 a decrease of 23 on January.

That’s a drop of around eight per cent on February 2019 when the figure was 3,467. Countywide, 7,563 people signed on last month with the number decreasing by 153 or 2% on January.

It’s a drop of around seven per cent on the February 2019 figure of 8,113. The numbers fell in all the other social welfare offices around the county last month.

The Killarney jobless figure is down 47 to 1,372, Listowel down by 18 to 1,181, Dingle is down 32 to 548, Killorglin down 16 to 536, Caherciveen is down 3 to 373 and Kenmare decreased by 14 to 350.
