Tralee Toastmasters return after the summer break.
TRALEE Toastmasters returned on Monday evening after the summer with members new and experienced attending the Our Lady and St. Brendan’s Church Pastoral Centre.
Before the meeting even started there was a hive of activity making the last preparations and catching up with each over after the Summer Break.
The new President, Anne Lawlor, was joined at the top table by Sonia Elston as Toastmaster for the night and Vicky McCarthy as Topics master.

Three speeches on the night were made by Mairead Moriarty, Anne Lawlor and James Finnegan — all different levels of experience, all entertaining in their own way.
Speeches Evaluators Joan Prendergast, Peter Harty and Sergey Udaltsov were encouraging and supportive with Mairead Moriarty winning Speech of the night. Sergey Udaltsov won best evaluation and Bernard Cronin won best topic of the night discussing ‘whether all children should be given a participation medal or not’.
New guests and members are always welcome, the only criteria is to be over 18 years of age. They meet at Our Lady and St. Brendan’s Church Pastoral Centre on the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month with an 8pm start.
