TRALEE Toastmasters club will host a mock wedding ceremony at their next meeting, at Kerins O’Rahilly’s clubhouse at 8pm, on Monday, February  17.

The event promises to be a fun experience for all, while at the same time highlighting the speaking skills that can be acquired though membership of the friendly public speaking group.

“We wanted to do something to help all those facing the most important speech of their lives in 2020, whether they are the bride, groom, father of the bride or maid of honour,” said Tralee Toastmasters club President, Anthony Garvey.

“We will have three excellent speeches on the night, one from the bride, another from the groom and the third from the maid of honour and we have a celebrant waiting to perform the ceremony itself with the customary Toastmaster gusto!”

Tralee Toastmasters is particularly interested in extending a helping hand to any guest that feels intimidated by the thought of making a wedding speech or for that matter, any other public speaking occasion.

The club’s mission is to develop this confidence-building skill throughout our community. Why not brave the Monday blues and enjoy a pleasant night’s entertainment in a cordial atmosphere?
