The One Million Stars Ireland project was brought to Ireland in 2019 by Siobhan McQuillan, project lead, working with Amber Women’s Refuge in Kilkenny.

This exhibition is an installation of the stars weaved so far in Kerry and will continue to grow. Each 8-pointed star represents light, hope, courage, and solidarity against all forms of violence.

Rebecca would like to thank Adapt Women’s Refuge, Kerry Travellers Health Community Development Project, Jigsaw Kerry, Phoenix Women’s Centre and Shed, St. Brigid’s Secondary School Killarney, Kerry Volunteer Centre, Liz Browne (Artist) and all those who have expressed an interest in becoming involved in the future.

There will be an official opening of the exhibition on Thursday, April 20th in Tralee Library at 6pm and all are welcome to come along. To learn more about the Project please check out the website at www.onemillionstarsireland.ie.
