Unfortunately heavy rain is on the way.

THIS is not good news for the festival.

A Status Yellow weather warning has been issued by Met Éireann for Kerry. The warning refers to windy conditions in Kerry from 2pm today until noon on Saturday with gusts of up 90km/h forecast. Some thundery downpours and possible spot flooding is expected between 6pm today and 6pm on Saturday.

While this a Status Yellow warning, Kerry County Council asks members of the public and motorists to exercise care especially in coastal and exposed areas.

People should also heed to the potential for trees which are in full leaf at present to be blown down much easier by high winds at this time of the year. Motorists are advised to look out for possible spot flooding this evening and throughout Saturday.
