We’re in for a hot Thursday.

MAKES a change from the wind and rain ones I suppose.

You may have noticed the big yellow thing in the sky has made a bit of a comeback over the past few days.

Well it’s here to stay for a while more and things are hotting up down here with a Status Yellow – High-Temperature warning just issued for the county.

Temperatures will be in excess of 27.0 degrees Celsius, during Thursday afternoon with the warning valid from 1pm to 7pm.

However, it might not be all sunshine for people in Tralee as a quick look at the rainfall radar on the Met Eireann website shows showers close to Tralee between 12noon and 1pm (the rainfall radar was spot on about yesterday evening’s downpours).

Showers could skirt by Tralee tomorrow around noon.

Anyway, let’s be optimistic and look forward to some great weather. The late afternoon from 3pm onwards looks like the time when the highest temperatures will hit us. Just make sure you sunscreen-up and take care with that barbecue!
