A LOCAL cafe is hosting a coffee morning fundraiser next week to help young Kerry siblings battling a serious illness.

On Wednesday, February 7, from 10am to 12 noon, the event will be held to support Alannah and Adam Foley, from Killorglin, two young warriors bravely facing Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1), and their father, Andrew Foley, a former chef from Yummy Cafe.

100% of every purchase of coffee, cake, and tea during the event will directly contribute to the Foley family’s ongoing costs. The siblings are currently undergoing treatment for NF1, a condition that requires continuous care.

Emer Tobin of Yummy Cafe, expressed her gratitude for the support: “We are deeply touched by the businesses around Tralee that have already donated spot prizes to the coffee morning and for coming together to help Andrew and his family. We know your support means the world to them and will help cover their expenses and support Alannah and Adam’s ongoing treatment.”

In addition to the warm atmosphere and delicious treats, the event will feature live music and fantastic spot prizes, all adding an element of fun and excitement to the day.

For those unable to attend the Coffee Morning Fundraiser, but are still eager to contribute, donations can be made directly to Andrew Foley’s 4Peaks Challenge through the GoFundMe page: https://gofund.me/d6510b00 where he is embarking on the challenge to scale the highest peaks in each of Ireland’s four provinces along with TJ O’Connor from MTUKerry and Padraig McGillicuddy from Ballygarry Estate.
