THE students at the St Vincent de Paul Society in the Institute of Technology Tralee are busy organising a very special event to raise much needed funds in time for Christmas.

On November 23 they are holding their annual fashion show in the Ballyroe Heights Hotel, Tralee.

It will start at 7pm with Brendan Fuller from Kerry Radio as M.C., and TD Michael Healy Rae will be modelling along with the students.

All of the clothes modelled are from the SVP Shops in Tralee and will be going on sale on the night. There will be a raffle at the interval and tickets for the show cost only €5.

“Our motto is ‘students supporting students’ and we work hard to achieve this by holding a range of fundraising events each year,” said welfare officer Niamh Blackburn. “Our society has multiple awards funds used to assist our fellow students with their financial struggles in the form of food vouchers, food hampers and scholarships.

Our annual fashion show has grown from strength to strength over the past three years and we will keep growing this success for the benefit of our students here in IT Tralee.”

So put the date in your diary for a fun event on November 23 in the Ballyroe Heights Hotel.
