LINNANE’S Bar on Rock Street will host a fundraiser this Saturday night to help a young girl fighting cancer.
Nine-year-old Lily Anna Sebestova from Spa Road, a pupil in Holy Family, was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive form of cancer, Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma, in July of 2021 and has been receiving treatment since then.
An event already took place in The Castle Bar last Sunday, raising vital funds. Lily Anna has to go to Dublin once every three weeks to receive treatment at the Crumlin Children’s Hospital and she also has to go for treatment in Cork once a week.

Now Linnane’s Bar is lending a hand and local businesses have come up trumps donating a huge number of spot prizes and hampers for a raffle.
Francie Breen will entertain as DJ on the night from 9pm to 11pm and it’s hoped people will call in for a drink, purchase some raffle tickets and enjoy a great night.
