Jobless Figure Rose Again In Tralee Last Month

THE Tralee Live Register figure for July rose again last month, according to data from the Central Statistics Office (CSO).

There were 3,414 signing on in Tralee in July compared to 3,328 in June, an increase of 86. The figure is 10 per cent less than July 2018 when there were 3,797 signing on in Tralee.

Countywide, 6,770 people signed on at the seven offices in Kerry last month which is up from 6,609 in June, a 2.4% increase, and the third month in a row that the number has risen.

The number is 12% down on July 2018 when 7,679 people were signing on in the county.

Only Cahersiveen (-16) and Dingle (-3) offices recorded decreases last month. Listowel rose by 50 to 1,309, Killarney saw an increase of 22 to 859, Killorglin was up 14 to 490 and Kenmare up 8 to 176.
