THE annual ’31 Day January Challenge for Positive Mental Health’ will, of course, come to an end next Friday and the organisers are inviting everyone — even those who haven’t been taking part in the challenge — to come together for the final 5k.
Over €12,700 has already been raised for Down Syndrome Kerry, Action For Amber, Chloe’s Journey and Bumbleance and that will rise further as the challenge finishes.
The final night will see a 5k walk on January 31 at The Rose Hotel with participants gathering outside the hotel at 7pm sharp.
The walk will leave The Rose Hotel, out to the canal walkway, turn around and back to the hotel. Organiser, Poshey Aherne, will have medals for those who completed the challenge. There will also be a cheque presentations to the charities at 8pm that night. All are invited.
