LIZ Clifford from Killorglin left Dedication Unisex Salon in Glenbeigh on Saturday last feeling lightheaded, because she had just had her hair cut after three years.

Liz, who works at Campus Kids at Tralee IT, decided to donate her hair to the Little Princess Trust and raise funds for the Kerry Cancer Support Group.

A large group of family and friends gathered in Glenbeigh on Saturday to watch as Elaine from Dedication cut Liz’s hair.

Liz  was looking forward to showing everyone her new look on Monday. Fundraising is ongoing with sponsorship cards still at various outlets around the county.

The Management, Staff and Board of Directors at Kerry Cancer Support Group would like to express their sincere gratitude to Liz for all of her hard work in raising not only the money but in also raising awareness of the organisation.

The funds will be used to complement and enhance the existing services that Kerry Cancer Support Group provide. These include the Kerry Cork Health Link Bus which transports service users from all over Kerry and parts of Cork to hospitals in Cork for their cancer treatment, delivery of awareness programmes to schools and groups in the region and provision of their emergency driving service which transports service users where no other service can help them.
