WHAT a week it has been.
January is traditionally a quiet time, but this week it was far from quiet for me.
Bright and early, I got a call from RTE to tell me I got a slot on the ‘Today’ show.
The response from the people of Tralee has been unbelievable. Thank you to everyone for their well wishes. I am very nervous but looking forward to this new challenge. I’ll keep you posted when I am starting.
My facebook page Mary O’Donnell beauty reached 10,000 followers. It was like New Year’s Eve waiting for the countdown. Overall a very good week.
A Tralee man has started up a new beauty business. Dearann Gayson from Caherslee has started a distribution company called LV Essentials and stock a brand called CAILYN. I looked at some of the products in range and they include:
1. BB Cream in the 3 colours we currently stock
2. O!Wow brush
3. Dissolve it – make up remover
4. IDefine – liquid eyeliner
5. Glass nailfile.
The BB cream from CAILYN comes in three shades and what I noticed about it first was the dispenser and that is refillable. All you have to do is press a button and the right amount of foundation is dispensed.
The BB cream is a beauty balm which is lighter than a foundation but this CAILYN product goes on very well with great coverage.
The CAILYN eyeliner is very easy to use and had great Pigment. I think ‘Dissolve It’, which is a cleanser, will be very popular as it removes every trace of makeup in seconds.
The product that wowed me was the O!Wow brush. This unique foundation brush makes make up go so easily. Great for areas that are traditionally hard to blend.
