Super 8’s    Best of luck to Jack Barry, Diarmuid O’Connor and the Kerry team as they take on Mayo in the first round of the Super 8’s in Killarney on Sunday next.

Na Gaeil Ladies    We played at home to Beaufort on Sunday evening in the Division 1 County League in perfect conditions.

With both teams missing players due to holidays etc, the game started tight with both defences on top but with Maria getting our 1st point, we started to take control with more points from Nora, Clodagh, Sarah C and Maria. With our forwards and midfield linking up well together, we went on a run with Sarah C, Clodagh and Maria scoring a goal apiece.

Half time came and we made a couple of changes with Hilary and Erika coming into the forwards and immediately making an impact as we got more points from Sarah C, Clodagh, Carla and Maria. Jadyn and Nora were now bossing midfield and with Meagan, Brid and Sarah Q not letting any players through and supporting our forwards.

Beaufort were struggling to get through but the couple of times that they managed, they had to come up against an outstanding full back in Muireann and the ever working Sarah B. Ciara Rath and Cara Grealish made their debuts with Ciara being very unlucky not to score her 1st senior point and Cara making a great clearance near the end.

We conceded 4 points throughout the game with 3 of those coming from free kicks so well done to our defensive team. Final Score 3.17 to 0.04. We now have a Div 1 Semi Final to look forward to.

Team: Sarah Quigley, Brid O’Connor, Nora O’Connell, Jadyn Lucey, Meagan Sheehy, Maria Quirke, Sarah Cunningham ,Clodagh McHugh, Erika O’Sullivan, Muireann Moriarty, Sarah Barrett, Carla Hanafin, Ciara Rath, Cara Grealish, Hilary Costello.
