Na Gaeil GAA Club News

Christmas Greetings    We wish everybody involved in Na Gaeil Club, officers, coaches, mentors, players, parents, patrons and visitors to our club a very happy, holy and peaceful Christmas and a bright and prosperous New Year.

Scór na nÓg    All roads led to Glenbeigh yesterday for the Scór na nÓg County Final. We represented Na Gaeil in the Nuachleas with a piece penned by Mary Quirke, entitled “Home is Where the Heart Is”, which was  excellently performed by Tadhg Reen, Joshua Roche, Rory Reen, Aoife O’Sullivan, Siún Clifford, Gráinne Quirke, Liam Óg and Muire Kingston, but unfortunately the result didn’t go our way.

A big thank you to our young cast who, over the many weeks of rehearsals, were unfailingly hard working, cheerful and generally a joy to be around.

This is the end of our Scór na nÓg journey for this year but we look forward to Scór Sinsear and Scór na bPáistí in the New Year. Best of luck to Renard who now go forward to represent Kerry at the Munster Final in Cork in early January.

Many thanks to our supporters today who braved the inclement weather to be with us, and also to Johnny Maunsell and Seán O’Connor in the clubhouse who facilitate and help us with Scór in so many ways. Happy Christmas to everyone!!

Well Done    Congratulations to our own Mark Bourke who guided St. Senan’s to their 2nd North Kerry Football Championship title in a row with a good win over Brosna on Sunday. A great achievement Mark. Well done!

Congrats    Congratulations to former Kerry footballer Donie O’Sullivan, of Spa, Killarney and now living in Racecourse Lawn on being inducted into the Hall of Fame at the Munster GAA Awards Night in the Castletroy Park Hotel, Limerick recently.
