They followed up with another point but scores from Darragh Reen and Mathew Burke left Na Gaeil nine points ahead.

This was a deserved victory for Na Gaeil with the entire team playing their part. The defence lead by team captain Enda O’Connor restricted their opponents scoring opportunities.

Na Gaeil v Cromane, U15 Ladies County Championship.

NA GAEIL U 15 Ladies: NA GAEIL v Cromane Country championship. We played on Sunday morning in Cromane. We were up against a team that had won Div1 U14 and Div 3 U16. We were missing a lot of players due to injuries and those away for a few days. Sibeal started as captain for the game, Meagan and Jadyn started in midfield with Jadyn flicking the ball to Meagan from the throw in, Meagan weaved her way to the forward line and with the help of Sibeal, she got the 1st goal.

Erika followed this up with some help from Clodagh and Kay with a goal. Jadyn was working hard and allowing Meagan the freedom to move forward with some great ball winning and passing. Cromane came back at us but for some superb saves from Aine, she kept them scoreless for the 1st half.

Brid nearly grabbed another goal only for a last ditch save towards the end of the 1st half. Caragh and Meagan got another point each before the half time whistle. We started the 2nd half strongly with Erika scoring 1-01 after some great passing from Sarah and Eimear. Meagan followed up with another goal.

Amii, Grainne, Freya and Laoise were immense in the backs, marking tightly. Sibeal who could have a hat-trick of goals only for some fine saves scored a long range point. Muire also had a fine shot saved from their keeper as we laid siege to them. Siena and Megan came into the forward line creating problems for their backline. Cromane came back at us and got themselves a few scores but as the pressure was mounting, Mary won the ball in our half back line, made a great run up the field, laid off a great pass to Siena who buried it into the back of the net for the last score of the game. Well done to all that played on a great team effort.
