Minors   Na Gaeil played John Mitchels in the Minor Central League Final in Strand road on Monday evening August 9th.  Na Gaeil struck first with a Kian Sheehan goal and some valuable points were added by Sean O’Connor and Sean Barrett. Mitchels struck back to lead 1-04 to 3-02 at half time.

The second half was turned around with five unanswered points scored by Sean O’Connor.  Added to this a great Kian Sheehan goal ensured a great win. Captain Cian O’Neill accepted the trophy after a well deserved win for the Killeen side. Final score: Na Gaeil: 2-09; John Mitchels: 3-03. Well done to coach, Mark O’Connor and his team and thanks to all our great supporters that turned up on the night to cheer on the team on what was a special evening for the club.

Despite playing against the breeze our lads led at the first water break by 2-0 to 0-04. In the second quarter two goals by Kerins O’Rahillys kept them in the hunt but we tagged on five points to leave us ahead by a single point at halftime.

Our lads increased that lead in the 3rd  and 4th quarters and eventually won out on a score line of Na Gaeil: 4-17; Kerins O’Rahillys: 3-06. Team: Iarla O hAiniféin, Jamie Schoenmaker, Jeaic Canty, Fionn Heaslip, Peter Doyle, Ruairí O hAiniféin, Kevin O’Donoghue, Seán Barrett, Oisín O’Sullivan, Conor Lucey, Jack Costello, Dara Cunningham, Paddy McElligott, Liam Cooper, Seán Morris, Daragh Morris, Fionn O’Brien, Sean Warr.

Semi Final    Finally we have clarity on the All Ireland semi final clash between Kerry and Tyrone. The game now takes place on Saturday August 28th in Croke Park. It is welcome news for the Kerry team as the players want do their talking on the pitch as opposed to being awarded a place in the final.  It will however push out further the commencement of the club championship in Kerry.

Revised Fixtures     If Kerry is not in the All Ireland Final Na Gaeil will play Beaufort in the 2020 County Intermediate semi final, on Sunday September 5th.  If Kerry is in the final, the game will be played on Sunday September 19th.
