A STATUS Yellow Rain and Thunderstorm warning has been issued for all of Ireland by Met Éireann, but it looks like Kerry will stay mostly dry.

The Met office says widespread showers and thunderstorms, with longer spells of rain at times will materialise with potential for localised flooding, especially in the northwest.

The warning is valid from 1pm today until 7am on Thursday morning. However, judging by the predicted rainfall radar on the Met Éireann website, Kerry will see just a few heavy showers today and tonight, with Thursday also looking mainly dry with temperatures in the mid-teens.
