“As part of our 3rd Year college teaching placement, we will be volunteering as teachers in Africa, for three weeks to help children in Uganda,” said Kate.

“To raise funds, we are hosting an Easter Camp for primary school children at  Mounthawk Montessori from April 3 to April 6, from 8.30am to 1.30pm. The fee per child is €95 for the week. The Easter Outdoor Creative Craft & Drama Camp is suitable for children over 5 years old, with lots of fun and games guaranteed.”

“All money raised will be given to Nurture Africa, the organisation which we will be travelling with,” said the girls.

“This will go towards the schools and the locality in Uganda. While there, we will be volunteering as teachers, helping the roll out of first aid courses and supporting the locals to become more sustainable through the use of their local resources.”

All support for the Easter Camp and any donations would be greatly appreciated. Bookings for the Easter Camp can be made via the Mounthawk Montessori School Facebook page or by phoning the landline on 066-7189964. Donations may be made on https://www.idonate.ie/fundraiser/kate-crowley130
