Status Orange Low Temperature/Ice Warning For Kerry

MET Éireann has issued a Status Orange Low Temperature/Ice Warning for Kerry and a number of other counties to take effect from tomorrow evening.

It is set to be extremely cold on Wednesday night with widespread temperatures below -5 degrees in some counties leading to severe frost and ice.

The warning is valid from 6pm on Wednesday to 12noon on Thursday after which it will revert to Status Yellow.

While temperatures in the Tralee area are not predicted to be as low as elsewhere in the country, they will fall to around -3 degrees in the early hours of Thursday. Temperatures will be even lower on Thursday night/Friday morning.
