Status Yellow Low Temperature Warning In Place Overnight

A STATUS Yellow Low Temperature/Ice warning for Ireland was issued earlier this evening by Met Éireann.

Tonight and Wednesday morning, widespread sharp frost with icy stretches and low temperatures may lead to some travel disruption in some areas.

The warning is valid until 10am on Wednesday morning. Temperatures in the Tralee area will go as low as 0 degrees overnight. It will stay cold for all of Wednesday with temperatures not going above 5 degrees.

Wednesday night will also be cold with lows of around 1 degree, while Thursday morning will see temperatures rise to about 7 degrees but it will see persistent rain for a spell, clearing to sunshine and showers in the afternoon.
