THE first weather warning of the new year for Kerry was issued by Met Eireann this morning.
A Status Yellow Wind Warning for Donegal, Galway, Mayo and Kerry will be in place late tonight as southerly winds will reach mean speeds of 50 to 65 km/h with occasional gusts of 90 to 100 km/h.
It’s valid from midnight until 8am on Monday morning. Heavy spells of rain are also forecast in Kerry until the warning period ends.
