THE Tralee jobless figure rose in August by 46 on the previous month and by 144 (4%) on the same month in 2019.
The Live Register figures for Tralee shows there were 3,522 people signing on last month compared to 3,378 in August 2019.
Tralee was the only area showing an increase in August with the number falling in the six other social welfare offices.

Kerry’s Live Register figure now stands at 7,434, 13% up on the same month last year but down slightly (2%) on July’s figure.
The number in the Killarney office fell 44 to 1,058, Listowel by 41 to 1,386, Killorglin by 41 to 512, Caherciveen by 39 to 307, Kenmare by 24 to 292 and Dingle by nine to 357.
