A TRALEE man has made his acting debut in the Tourism Ireland #GoGreen4PatricksDay promotion.
Barry O’Connor, originally from Cahermoneen, features in a new advert with Hollywood actor Liam Neeson providing the voiceover to help promote St Patrick’s Day.
“I’m thrilled to bits to see that my part made it in,” said Barry, who works in Dublin (in a non-acting capacity!).
“There was no guarantee of that, because a number of other scenes were shot. It was a great experience overall and maybe me and Liam can team up again sometime in the future!” joked Barry.
In the one minute promotional Youtube clib, Barry can be spotted three quarters of the way in (0.43 seconds) ordering a pint of Guinness in a blink and you’ll miss it appearance (you have to start somewhere I suppose).
The advert, which has received over 130,000 views on YouTube, was produced by Ireland.com to help promote St Patrick’s Day around the world with the message #GoGreen4PatricksDay.
