A WEATHER Advisory for Ireland has been issued by Met Éireann for the remainder of the week.

From Monday night onwards, spells of rain, which will be heavy at times, coupled with already saturated soils, may lead to localised flooding.

The warning is valid from Monday afternoon until Friday night. Further more localised weather warnings may follow later in the week.

Locally in Kerry, it looks like dry enough Monday afternoon with some rain overnight clearing to a dry and mild Tuesday.

Rain will arrive on Tuesday night and linger until Wednesday afternoon when it will clear for the remainder of the day.

At this stage, it looks like Thursday and Friday will be showery although there could also be persistent spells of rain.
