Darkness Into Light Tralee Raises Incredible Amount For Pieta House

TRALEE people raised an incredible €45,226.00 for Pieta House through the ‘Darkness Into Light’ walk in May.

Over 3,000 people took part in the emotional walk that highlights the vital message that there is help and support out there for people suffering from mental health issues.

The Tralee walk took place in CBS The Green setting off at 4:15am. Elsewhere In Kerry, walks also took place in Killarney, Listowel, Dingle and Cahersiveen.

Colin Aherne and members of his dedicated team who organised the event were there for the cheque handover on  Monday evening.

On his Facebook page, Colin said it was a very proud moment for both himself and the committee and he thanked everyone who supported Pieta House through the walk.

All money raised will be going towards Pieta House services in Kerry.

Pieta House is located at 28 Moyderwell, Tralee. The mental health organisation provide a vital service for those dealing with mental health issues in the county.
