Tralee Jobless Figure Fell Slightly In October

THE Tralee jobless figure fell in October by 43 on the previous month but was up by just over 1% on the same month in 2019.

However, 13,547 employees and self-employed people in the county are getting the Pandemic Unemployment Payment.

The Live Register figures for Tralee shows there were 3,012 people signing on last month compared to 3,059 in September. There were 2,972 people signing on in October 2019.

Kerry’s Live Register figure now stands at 6,413, down 178 on September’s figure. It’s up 220 or 3.5% on the October 2019 figure of 6,193.

The number in the Killarney office in October was up 26 to 965, Listowel down 123 to 1,119, Killorglin up four to 453, Caherciveen down two to 265, Kenmare down 77 to 199 and Dingle up 41 to 400.
