The festival may be over but there’s still a lot to see and do over the weekend in and around Tralee. Here’s a few suggestions…
Friday
1. Get Shortty…
The Dome is still up and it will be used to good effect tonight when Pat Shortt performs his new stand-up show, ‘How’s Tings?’ at 8pm.
Pat always puts on a good show so if you’re interested click here for ticket details.
Saturday

3. Islamic exhibition…
The Kerry Islamic Outreach Society will host their fifth annual Islamic Cultural Exhibition at the Brandon Hotel from 11am until 5pm.
There will be a whole host of entertainment, informative pieces and people will be on hand to answer questions about Islam. Donations on the day go towards Arlington Lodge.
4. Watch the game…
‘Nothing beats being there’ as the slogan goes, but if you can’t make it to Croke Park, you can always watch it in the pub where there’s sure to be a great atmosphere. Have a bite of lunch and you’ll be all set for the 3pm throw-in. Fingers crossed!

5. Strictly fun in the Dome…
The Austin Stacks ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ event is always a fantastic night out. The Dome will be rocking as the couples will be ‘Dancing Through The Decades’ as part of the club’s centenary celebrations.
Tickets for the night are available from Garveys, Supervalu, Rock Street. There will be a prize for the best dressed male and female on the night.
Ticket price includes entry to an event taking place right after it finishes, which bring us on to…
6. Locals Night in The Dome…
In years gone by this was the highlight of the Dome entertainment which signalled the real end of the festival. 7. Championship action…
It’s a day for sport on the telly with Dublin v Tyrone at 3.30pm and Liverpool and Arsenal doing battle at 4pm.
Closer to home though, there’s Garvey’s Supervalu Kerry SHC Round 3 replay action in Austin Stack Park between St. Brendan’s and Abbeydorney at 1:30pm. It should be a cracker!
